"MAD WOMAN" DELIVERS IN THE STREETS.

A 33 year old woman who gave her name as Elizabeth Aidoo delivered a baby boy in one of the streets at Abossey-Okain in Accra yesterday.

Elizabeth who is believed to be mentally challenged was spoted by passer-by moaning in pain at about 12noon but would not talk to anyone.

According some of the eyewitnesses, before they could realised, they baby was droping on the floor, then a good samaritan rushed to her aid.

At the time I got to the scene the mother and the child have been transfered to the Kaneshie Polyclinic( a near by clinic) for proper medical attention.

Upon reaching the clinic, Elizabeth had been given some treatment and she was physically well together with the baby.

However she could not tell exactly where she was coming from and who her relatives are.

She only mention her name and age. But most of the things she siad could not mean anything.

Speaking to the Good Samaritans, Abraham Adamu Aryeetey and His Sister, Mrs Quaye, who were waiting at the clinic, they explained that they saw the woman loitering in the vicinity an eve to the incident.

Mrs. Quaye said, as a woman, she observed that Elizabeth's time was due so she tried getting her to accept her offer of taking her to the hospital for safe delivery but that did not yeild any result, untill that she could not help anymore.
